The heart of the TFS is the adjustable cones which come in 3 sizes, 30, 50, and 70 mm lengths. The longer length cones are used to reach further into the carb which does two things:
- Decrease the size of the opening to the venturi of the carburetor which increases air velocity entering the throttle body.
- The signal and responsiveness are improved as a result of the higher air speed, especially at smaller throttle openings.
Moving the cone up or down to "tune" the combination for maximum top speed without losing top speed will result in the optimal adjustment for both throttle response and top speed. Choosing the right cone is a trial and error process that will result in increased throttle response and maximized performance throughout the power band and optimized overall performance.
